How it works — our methodology

Problem sourcing

Every coding and system design problem is sourced from real FAANG interviews reported in the last 6 months. We track problem frequency across companies and difficulty tiers so you practice what actually gets asked — not textbook leftovers.

12-dimension scoring

Your performance is evaluated across 12 dimensions: problem decomposition, algorithm choice, code correctness, edge case handling, communication clarity, trade-off analysis, testing instincts, time management, system scalability, database design, API design, and user experience considerations. Each dimension produces a hiring signal that mirrors how interviewers score candidates internally.

The AI interviewer

Alex conducts a real-time voice interview with adaptive follow-up questions. If you struggle with a hint, the difficulty adjusts. If you breeze through, deeper questions surface — just like a senior engineer probing your limits in a live interview.

Data sources

  • Interview questions — Sourced from candidate-reported interview experiences, LeetCode company tags, and verified industry databases.
  • Salary data — Pulled from Levels.fyi, Blind disclosures, and publicly available compensation reports.
  • Company-specific insights — Derived from hundreds of interview experiences shared by engineers who went through FAANG hiring loops.
